The best spiritual blogs April 2010
Sometimes it's nothing more than a clean up that gets one to make a hub. In this case I decided to check up on my bloglines blog subscriptions to see which of the spiritual blogs I'm subscribed to was actually interesting - as in recently.
So stay tuned for the best spiritual blogs of April 2010.
Perhaps no surprise, I'm starting off with my own. Yes, I'm partial to my own stuff. All Considering is a general spiritual blog in the most tolerant of theosophical traditions. As the title suggests, I will write about just about anything worth considering - as long as it's in any way shape or form related to spiritual growth, philosophy, psychology, Buddhism, yoga, etc.
[edit nov. 2010]Unfortunately some of the people listed here stopped blogging, or deleted their feed and stuff like that. I've deleted them from this page.[/edit]

- Anatma, no Soul, Buddha Nature, Vedantins vs Buddhism
One of the toughest aspects of Buddhism, from a metaphysical perspective, is the ‘no soul’, ‘anatma’ (or anatta) doctrine. Buddha didn’t mean that we’re soulless machines or anything like that. What he meant was that there is nothing permanent in our consciousness that could be identified as ‘me’. He went one step further too: our [...] - 11 days ago

- Our experienced reality – aka Buddhism and The Secret
Ever since I started teaching the topic of Buddhist Philosophy about ten years ago, I’ve used the Law of Attraction (aka The Secret) to explain the Chittamatrin view (*). However, there are important differences and that’s basically what this post is about. Let’s start with the Dhammapada quote that is usually used to claim that [...] - 3 weeks ago
I have to admit, while I've been subscribed to this blog for ages, sometimes Ariel Bravy ticks me the wrong way. He sometimes sounds like a broken record - saying that searching isn't the answer. Does he know so many people who search?
But his recent piece about two months on the road was so heartbreakingly open, I just had to include it here.
We Are All One
- Taking Off My Spiritual Hat
Watch this video in HD. (Recommended) Unfathomable Silence You may have noticed that there haven’t been any posts here recently. A few days ago I returned from a 30-day solo camping trip into the forest. (That’s where the photos and videos shot in the video above came from.) After the initial 6-day trip where a [...] - 22 months ago
- From Problem/Solution Thinking to Well-Being
I recently set off to go spend time alone in silence in the mountains and wound up spending nearly a week camping along a river, basically meditating, eating, and sleeping. Now you’d think it’d be simple enough to sit down and spend time in silence where everything is great and nothing is wrong, but it [...] - 23 months ago

- Love in the Present Moment
by Jennifer Hoffman -The love and the light that is required on your ascension journey is reflected in your reality in each moment. You cannot love in the past for that moment is gone. You cannot love in the future because its details have not yet been created and every aspect of the future depends on what you do in each present moment. If you want the future to be joyful, fulfilling, loving, and
- The World of Possibility
by Julie Redstone - The 'world of possibility' exists within each moment. It comes into being through our relationship with the Divine which is the strongest creative power in the universe. This creative power flows through all moments, yet is invisible to us when we are closed to it - when we view ourselves as formed and shaped by the roles we play and the past we have lived through. On a
- Rise Above to See the Love
by Cheryl Ford -The famous 80s pop star Pat Benatar once sang, “Love is a battlefield” and although relationships can often feel much like a war zone, A Course in Miracles teaches a much more profound concept about this idea: murder and Love cannot co-exist. This might seem like an obvious statement, but everyday we “murder” the ones we love with judgments, guilt, anger and attack in some form.We
This blog is a good mix of traditional Hindu spirituality and down to earth daily wisdom.

Though I wonder - would men decide to turn down a radio show only because they thought they weren't ready? What's it with women and turning down opportunity?

Nice listing of the best spiritual blogs.
I'm watching, for the last 10 months, as this particular spiritual blog grows. Although I don't agree with everything they say, one thing is worth a recommendation: the regularity with which new posts are made. Not a very common trait amongst spiritual bloggers, if you ask me...
Cheers,
Lisa,
